Nepal regulates the importation of tobacco products under the Tobacco Product (Control and Regulatory) Act (2011) and its implementing directives. The law states that importers must ensure that the cigars and related products meet standards for health warnings, packaging, labeling, and that no unregistered or non-compliant products enter the market.

Customs in Nepal employs a tariff system where import duty rates can range from 0% up to 80%, depending on the HS code and product classification. In addition to customs duty, imported goods including tobacco are subject to VAT at 13 %, applied on the value including CIF (cost + insurance + freight) plus duty.

For travelers and small personal imports, Nepal allows up to 50 cigars (or small equivalent quantity of tobacco) duty-free.

We offer free express shipping on all orders over €500 (or equivalent in Nepalese rupees, approximately NPR 82.118). For orders under that threshold, a flat shipping fee of €50 (or its local equivalent, approximately NPR 8.212) applies.

After your package arrives in Nepal, customs may impose import duties, excise charges, and VAT, which are calculated based on the declared CIF value and classification of the cigars. Once any applicable charges are cleared, the final delivery typically takes 2-5 business days, subject to customs processing time.

Yes, even with our discreet and compliant packaging, it’s quite possible that Nepali customs will hold your cigar shipment for a review. If your order is detained, you’ll need to pay the required customs duties, taxes or fees to have it released.

We use rigorous measures to preserve cigar quality during transit. Each cigar is inspected before shipment, wrapped with protective material (e.g. bubble wrap) at both ends, and packed with a humidity control pack (such as a Boveda 72%). The outer packaging is sturdy and discreet to avoid drawing attention or suffering damage. These precautions greatly reduce risks in transit and help ensure that your cigars arrive ready to smoke.
