  In 1882, and under the aegis of Antonio Allones, who had started producing Habanos over 30 years in Havana, it was decided to launch a brand of premium quality and price, with a name that quickly became known for its great dose of pretense: “The King of the World”. • Fonseca

  Don Francisco Fonseca founded his brand in the last decade of the 19th century. • Rafael Gonzalez

  Rafael González is a brand created in the 1930’s. This brand which has the factory name of Cervantes, was first called a Lonsdale after Lord Lonsdale. On its lid label each box carries a curious inscription written in English to the effect that the cigars should be smoked within one month of the date of shipment from Havana or otherwise they should be carefully matured for about one year.

  Vegueros brand was introduced to the market in 1996 and pays tribute to all the farmers who from generation to generation have cultivated tobacco in the “Pinar del Río” region, Cuba. It is a tradition in the “Vuelta Abajo” zone, for the vegueros – farmers – to make their own cigars. Visitors to this part of Pinar del Río province were curious and wanted to taste the cigars made in the land where the considered best tobacco in the world is grown.
